Paypal Orders not syncing: Payments Notifications Issue

If you are having issues with your PayPal orders not making it into Fetchapp, or you get a notice like this from PayPal:

Check the server managing instant PayPal payment notifications. Instant payment notifications sent to the following URLs have failed: https://yourhandle.fetchapp.com/paypal *

    *where yourhandle is your fetchapp account handle


Then you may need to Enable UTF-8 encoding in your PayPal account.


Enable UTF-8 Encoding in Paypal


Login to your PayPal account, then open the PayPal Language Encoding page:
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/customerprofileweb?cmd=_profile-language-encoding

then click the More Options button:



Next, select UTF-8 from the More Encoding options drop-down, and check the Yes toggle to have your PayPal data sent to Fetchapp using UTF-8 encoding:



Save the changes, and your subsequent PayPal IPNs should use the correct encoding.
